Sharmila Tagore shared interesting things

Sharmila Tagore told that, ‘I think it is very surprising that it has been 50 years since ‘Daag’ was made, yet the film and its songs are still so famous. In fact, recently people were singing Manoj Bajpayee (I made Gulmohar with him) continuously put one face on the other. I had to tell him please don’t sing it. When I was offered ‘Daag’, it was really a unique pleasure for me. I saw it as a great compliment and honor to be a part of Yash’s first venture, his first film as a producer. I was also very thrilled with this.

About Yash Chopra

Continuing her talk, Sharmila Tagore further said, ‘Working in Daag was a great experience for me. It was really wonderful to work with Yash. Although I had worked with him in ‘Waqt’ as well. He always used to have fun. As a director, he excited everyone on the set. Ask anyone who worked with him, with his love of Punjabi and mediocrity he was like a live wire. When we were working for ‘Daag’, we shot in many beautiful locations. One day we were shooting in Shimla and I woke up to a snow covered landscape, which was an amazing view right from my hotel window, which meant I had to walk to work because someone The car could not come to us through the snow. I remember I got ready with my hair done and barely took 5 steps when something hit me very hard, it was a snowball.’

Girls’ sports also mentioned

Sharmila Tagore further said, ‘I turned to refuse, I found a group of girls laughing and who told me ‘Ye to hamara khel hai, hum to khelenge’. I tried to convince them but they didn’t listen (laughs), and I had to walk to the shooting location. That road didn’t seem very far, getting hit by snowballs constantly. I remember even throwing a few snowballs at him but my aim was not as good as his. I think I enjoyed it till the end. However, I had to change after reaching the location as I was drenched. Anyway, the experience of playing his game ‘Yeh to hamara khel hai, hum to khelenge’ was also tremendous for me.

About Rajesh Khanna

After this Sharmila Tagore while talking about her pairing with Rajesh Khanna said, ‘I think Kaka did a very memorable job in ‘Daag’. He looked quite handsome in his later role as Rakhi’s husband with that mustache and dashing looks. He was already the heartbeat of the nation. I am very happy that the audience loved Kaka and me working together and we became a hit pair. We did many great movies together.

Yash Chopra’s effect

As shown in the hit global docu-series The Romantics by Netflix, which is based on his life and career. Further, the actress said, ‘We had to take our Hindi films to the West viewers and make Switzerland famous as the most sought-after location. His government also praised this thing. For this work, he got praise as well as award. Also when we went to Interlaken, we saw a cafe called Bollywood Cafe which made us very happy. However, I feel that it should have been called Yash Raj Cafe as he used to visit the area to capture the beauty of the place.
